Drawing upon the great thinkers, serious topics are addressed such as the debate between faith and reason, maintaining objective beliefs in a postmodern society, observing law in the confines of covenant, and justice in the context of dominion, distilling out key components and showing how the path forward leads into covenant-relationship. The biblical role for knowledge encompasses evidence, belief, and trust – all of which stand at the interface between God and the truth-seeker. What knowledge do we draw upon to answer life’s big questions? Do we speak from a condition of learnedness, or allow our worldview to speak for us? The Gospel confronts us with these kinds of questions. The truth-seeker pursues answers, but many reject the Gospel before knowing what it teaches. Like pursuing a philosophic line of reasoning, this book culls out the tenets of knowledge in an aim to show how they fulfill the truth-seeker’s quest.
